Role Description
Position: Vice-President - Internal Control Group- Quality Assurance
Finance COO – The Internal Control Group reviews and monitors the effectiveness of Internal Controls in partnership with stakeholders in Finance and Global Business Services (GBS) across the Americas region and administers and monitors the transfer pricing process in the Americas. Additionally, the group is responsible for monitoring and improving the the quality of various financial reporting processes, including Federal Reserve reporting.
Core responsibilities:
• Establish and manage a financial reporting Quality Assurance Process with initial focus of Federal Reserve Reporting.
• Analyze current financial reporting processes
• Identify weaknesses/Gaps in financial reporting processes
• Develop remediation plans in conjunction with process owners
• Track remediation and report results to senior management
• Work with other members of the Internal Control team to continually improve internal controls in the region.
• Manage and escalate emerging issues and threats to the control environment
• Drive successful control improvement initiatives to lead implementation of best practices among Finance and GBS.
Skills/Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in a position of increasing responsibility within a Finance/Audit function of a global bank.
• Knowledge of federal reserve reporting requirements
• Managerial experience a plus
• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley a plus
• Strong understanding of internal controls and the inherent risks and exposures of large complex financial organizations
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with senior management, business heads and internal and external stakeholders and peers
• Strong analytical technical skills focused on problem solving and strategic thinking
• Candidate will be someone who demonstrates good business judgment acumen regarding internal controls
• Candidate will be a self starter who is focused on professional development seeking a longstanding career with DB. As well performance focused meeting individual and divisional objectives
• Academic requirements
o B.S. degree required
o CPA preferred but not required
