Wimdu is an exciting, new start-up company headquartered in Berlin. Initially funded with USD 90 million, Wimdu has grown to host over 50,000 properties in over 100 countries since March 2011 and is set to become Europe’s leading marketplace for the rental of private accommodation. Wimdu has a team of over 250 employees and is represented internationally.
The programme is aimed at highly promising students who have successfully completed the fifth semester of their Bachelor Studies or have completed a bachelor’s-level degree and plan to or are currently enrolled in a master’s programme in economics, finance, management or a related field. Participants in the Internship will have the opportunity to cooperate closely with the employees of Wimdu GmbH, and thereby will become involved in the company’s core business and main activities. The opportunity to work closely with Wimdu GmbH will allow students to develop their analytical skills and gain an insight into the finance subjects of Wimdu GmbH, thereby enabling them to acquire new ideas and stimuli for their future graduate studies and professional development.
Your Tasks:
- Analysis and optimization of internal processes;
- Development of Controlling technics and tools;
- Analysis of KPIs;
- Support to the decision-making process of the company’s management;
- Preparation of reports;
- Investment Controlling;
- Support to the Accounting team;
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s-level university qualification in economics, finance, management or a related field. Candidates with a quantitative background and an active interest in corporate finance are particularly welcome to apply;
- Professional experience in Controlling, Finance or Investment Banking would be an asset;
- A very good knowledge of spreadsheet and database programmes (such as Excel, SPSS). In particular a good knowledge of Excel formulas capabilities, pivot tables and summary statistics functions would be an asset;
- fluent command of English with proven drafting ability;
- German language is highly preferable, but not mandatory;
- a working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access;
- very good interpersonal and communication skills;
- excellent reporting skills and ability to work either in team or independently;
