In Continental Europe, Statkraft employs over 450 people and has offices in Düsseldorf, London, Bucharest, Belgrade, Sofia, Lyon and Amsterdam. Since 1998, Statkraft has been active in trading and origination of power, gas, renewable and emissions certificates and structured products.
Whilst regular trading takes place from the office in Düsseldorf, Statkraft Markets B.V. in Amsterdam employs 30 staff and has a predominant role in renewable and emissions certificates trading. The Dutch entity is also the holding company of a large South East European hydropower investment.
Your position:
- Holding an independent position, carrying the responsibilities that are associated with such role.
- Being responsible for reliable financial reporting as an integral part of the business support to the Management Team, the relevant stakeholders in Statkraft’s Düsseldorf office and to Statkraft’s Group Finance in Oslo.
- Assuming the responsibilities of finance manager for Statkraft Markets B.V. in The Netherlands as well as Statkraft’s trading entities in South East Europe, i.e. Bulgaria, Rumania, Serbia and Turkey.
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordination of a large variety of financial and administrative matters for the entity,
- Financial accounting, controlling and reporting in IFRS and local GAAP,
- Internal control,
- Communication with local accounting and tax offices,
- Contact for management of other Statkraft entities,
- Coordination of tax, treasury and compliance issues,
- Preparation of internal service agreements and transfer pricing documentation,
- Drafting of Dutch payrolling and arranging associated insurances.
Your profile:
- Financial education at university level and strong knowledge of financial accounting (Dutch GAAP and IFRS),
- Dutch Corporation tax and associated legislation.
- A number of years of experience in a financial/controlling position in an internationally operating medium-sized commercial enterprise.
- Highly developed language skills in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing; German would be an advantage.
- Proficiency with the MS Office package, specifically Excel.
- Self-driven and structured, with focus on results and continuous improvement.
- Reliable, pro-active, showing acumen and commitment.
- High degree of flexibility, both with regards to working hours, location and nature of duties. Availability during monthly accounts closing comes naturally with this position and a considerable amount of traveling will be involved in this assignment.
