Responsibilities

Job Purpose The Ad Sales Manager of Finance is an integral member of the team that is responsible for managing the ~$200MM Ad sales organization’s budget financials. This position will report to the VP, Ad Sales Finance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage various Sales Marketing department’s financial activity
  • Partner with leadership from 20+ sales and marketing departments to create and implement fiscal budgets and policies to support NBCU wide strategic initiatives
  • Serve as finance lead for NBCU’s Creative Partnership and Integrations division (~15MM in 2010 Revenue). Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing and production teams to maximize efficiency, margin, and client satisfaction of emerging integration revenue stream.
  • Continue to enhance simplify the financial process procedures within the ad sales finance organization
  • Support quarterly finance close activities for the Ad Sales Finance organization, including preparing budgets and variance analysis for the various financial planning cycles for NBCU’s finance requirements
  • Complete ad hoc reporting requests, analysis and special projects
  • Qualifications/Requirements

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in finance

    Desired Characteristics:

  • FMP graduate/2 years internal experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Excel: able to create forecast models, pivot tables, macros; and PowerPoint: able to create presentations
  • Strong FPA and analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Continuous improvement attitude, ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices
  • Strong time-management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills, ability to work with a diverse team and influence both peers and subordinates
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to controllership principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
