Finance Manager – Contract recruitment
Presently seeking a Finance Manager (Contract) to join our clients Head Office team in Dublin.
As part of a small but growing team, the successful candidate will be required to manage the operations of the Group’s Irish and Corporate subsidiaries and be responsible for the Group consolidation. The role reports directly to the CAO, and will be varied and challenging, offering exposure to senior departmental managers across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review the consolidation of all group subsidiaries (currently 77 across 10 countries and 7 currencies) and present to management by Day 5 monthly.
- Submission of management reporting for subsidiaries to Group (income statements, balance sheets, cashflows forecasts, commentaries) in accordance with monthly timetable.
- Measurement and reporting of business performance to department managers globally as well as periodic forecasting of Irish Corporate subsidiaries.
- Managing Group treasury function including liaising with banks, FX management.
- Management of day-to-day operations of the subsidiaries including queries from managers, payments, legal, governance tax returns etc.
- Directly manage reporting of all Irish and Luxembourg subsidiaries.
- Manage a staff of 3, including one Financial Accountant and two Accounts Payable staff
- Assistance with the development of the financial systems across the business.
- Assisting with the year-end audit process including preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts.
- Assistance in internal controls process improvements.
Required qualifications and experience:
- A high calibre qualified accountant (8-10 yrs PQE) - industry experience in a similar role a distinct advantage.
- Good commercial acumen with an understanding of drivers of business performance.
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics or another high-end accounting software package.
- Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative, multi-task and meet challenging deadlines.
- High levels of energy and motivation, with a track record of delivery.
- Strong organisation, communication and interpersonal skills required.
