Finance Manager for Growing Insurance Business
This opportunity sits within a growing insurance business which is undergoing a period of international expansion. The Finance Director is heavily involved in the growth plans and as such needs to appoint an experienced No 2 who can take responsibility for the smooth running of the daily finance function. Initially this role will be appointed on an interim basis which is likely to be 3-6 months but this could be extended.
The company is located centrally in the city of London. Whilst still a small company it is led by a team of exceptionally talented equity partners who are driving excellence and growth consistently. There is a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture to the business and as such it's an engaging and motivating company to work for.
The role will take responsibility for all the financial and management accounting for the business and international subsidiaries, payroll and overseeing the transactional finances - AP, AR etc. As the business is still relatively small the role does need someone that is prepared to be very "hands on" which could mean posting invoices etc as required. However as the business is growing and they are looking to develop management information and financial processes and controls there is also the opportunity to add real value in these areas.
My client is looking to appoint a qualified accountant with experience in financial and management accounting and managing a finance function for an SME business. Ideally they will come from an insurance or financial services background. Attitude is key and they are looking to appoint someone who is happy to get involved in all areas of running a finance function as well as being able to contribute to a positive working environment.
This role is looking to be appointed as soon as possible in January.
