Finance Manager – Group MI recruitment
OVERVIEW:
* Manage the management information and PMM processes for Aviva Group:
- Monthly management information process and reporting
- Annual budget process
- Regional PMMs
- Ad-hoc initiatives and reporting
* Management of the outsourced analytics team in India.
CONTEXT
* On a quarterly basis, the MI analysis and reports are used to support external announcements either in the absence of full statutory reporting from regions and/ or on areas of MI expertise such as costs.
* Communication of performance and progress is via a monthly MI report to the plc Board and Executive Team.
* There is a huge opportunity for the right individual to make a real difference to management information processes and reporting, and in doing so to benefit from significant personal development and challenge.
* Group MI has recently set up the offshore analytics team in India, in change of producing newly developed analysis on performance as well as assisting the onshore team with the BAU processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
* ESSENTIAL:Qualified accountant with Life Insurance exposure
SKILLS EXPERIENCE:
* Ability to distil large amounts of information, both financial and non-financial
* Strong knowledge of IFRS, but also MCEV and related regulatory / solvency requirements desirable.
* Good written skills and ability to communicate complex issues simply to a wider business audience
* Sound judgement and ability to identify and articulate risks and opportunities in a balanced manner
* Strong controls focus
* Influencing across organisational and geographic boundaries
* Experience of Aviva processes. systems and protocols desirable
