Finance Manager – Insurance recruitment
The Group’s Insurance Head Office exists to provide functional leadership, strategic direction, oversight, co-ordination, monitoring and control of the Group’s insurance businesses worldwide. Insurance is one of the Group’s key product lines.
An opportunity currently exists within our External Reporting team for a Finance Manager to support the Senior Finance Manager in the following areas:
- Monthly/quarterly analytical review of Insurance Group financial statements and related risk disclosures (as relevant)
- Driving stronger controllership environment within the Insurance Group
- Support on technical accounting and other reporting projects, including:
- Technical accounting work (IFRS 4 Phase II, IFRS 9, etc.)
- FTP implementation,
- Other reporting project work (Solvency II, RBC, etc.)
This role would ideally suit a motivated and articulate individual with an ACA or similar accounting qualification and some post-qualified experience within the insurance industry. It is possible that you will be looking for your first move out of Audit, or you may already be working for an insurer in a finance capacity. Experience of reviewing and critically assessing process and control environments to improve efficiency will be well regarded as will an understanding of Group systems (inc Saracen, FTP, TM1, etc.).
