We are looking for a numerate finance professional with good attention to detail and the capacity to learn new systems quickly. You will join a growing team and take on management responsibilities. 
You will be required to extract data from contracts and input to our bespoke clinical trials management system, this will include; reviewing, tracking, and processing data.
 
Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with International colleagues on a regular basis.   This exciting role is working within a new and growing team which processes and generates all the payments for investigators in Europe, Middle East and Africa and will ensure that these payments are made in a timely manner in accordance with the contractual agreements.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
·         Review contracts with investigators and extract appropriate data.
·         Input data accurately and within deadlines according to SOPs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
·         Contact employees and other departments across the company internationally as necessary to request missing information and update invalid data issues.
·         Identify, track and report accounting data accurately and follow-up on routine issues flagging non standard issues to line manager.
·         Manage the progress and development of the junior team members.
·         Work with other team members including some guidance to junior team members as appropriate, as required to ensure that the group meets all SLAs and targets.
·         Liaise with other regional teams to help develop best practice processes.
·         Provide standard and ad hoc reports as needed.
·         Check that appropriate approvals are obtained for accounting purposes.
·         Flag problems with existing procedures and systems and make suggestions for improvements.
·         Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting policies and procedures relevant to the scope of this role.
·         Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience in accounting, may be part CPA (or equivalent) qualified or studying; with previous line management experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.

 Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers.

 Regular sitting for extended periods of time.

 Occasional travel.
