PURPOSE:
Our Client is a $50M business unit responsible for all land based pressure control activity in Canada. The Canadian Finance Manager is a key member of the Canada management team with specific responsibility to manage the business unit's financial functions. The Canada Financial Manager's analysis and insight will be essential in developing the business unit's overall strategy and evaluating a diverse range of opportunities. The qualified candidate should have significant financial experience including financial reporting, cost accounting, project accounting, commercial review, working capital management, local taxation and economic analysis and justification of capital investments.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum five or more years of manufacturing or related professional accounting experience required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, professional certification preferred. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Practical experience working with dual currency reporting (Canadian and US Dollar) and both Canadian and U.S. GAAP. A high level of manufacturing operations, field operations knowledge would be beneficial. Ability to work independently and solve non-recurring problems and drive continuous process improvements. Demonstrates leadership ability and proficiency in mentoring, thinking creatively, and project planning. Substantial attention to detail is required to ensure accounting and financial information is timely, accurate and complete. Computer skills Microsoft Office, ERP systems such as SAP and financial reporting packages such as Hyperion.
