Great opportunity for a motivated and dedicated professional to be the Finance Manager of a privately owned, fast growing and innovative branding agency. This role encompasses budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation and analysis of revenue, expenses, employee utilization and client profitability in an effort to maximize efficiency and productivity of two offices. Candidate should have strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills, as well as the ability to delegate, supervise and motivate others.
Job Description:
· Perform month end close duties including reconciliation of bank accounts, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, variance analyses, etc.
· Oversee bookkeeper/office manager financial responsibilities to ensure system entries are accurate and complete
· Prepare and distribute monthly financial results and forecasts to Senior Management
· Support and help lead an accounting system migration for 2012
· Maintain client revenue and new business pipeline reports
· Manage financial aspects of client contracts to ensure revenue is properly recognized; billings and reconciliations are accurate and performed in a timely manner.
· Maintain time reporting system and serve as finance resource in providing information on studio performance and analysis
· Prepare and analyze employee utilization, capacity and client profitability reports
· Assist with quarterly budgeting updates and annual business planning process
· Review balance sheet accounts to ensure receivables, WIP and payables are current; address and follow-up as required
· Manage intercompany contracts and charge backs
· Assist with adhoc analysis requests
· Track capital expenditures and provide guidance on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the treatment of capital versus operating expenditures.
Job Requirements:
· BS/BA degree in Management or Accounting/Finance
· 3-5 years experience in a related area.
· Must be proficient in all MS Office applications, with advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills. Ability to use a MAC a plus.
· The candidate should also have sound business process knowledge and demonstrated abilities in applying business/financial principles.
· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to influence, and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management.
· Strong analytical abilities and financial analysis skills are required and must have the ability to manage conflict.
