Finance Manager Job in Redwood City, California US
We are helping our client in the gaming industry with a Finance Manager position.
The Finance Team is responsible for consolidation, oversight, reporting, and analysis including sports, play, massively multi-player online role-playing games, shooting, racing, action, and Real-Time strategy. The Group works with studio finance teams to consolidate results and drive standardization across the Labels where value-added.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Finance Manager role will be responsible for consolidation, financial reporting, and analysis
- Financial Consolidation - The Manager will be responsible for coordinating the overall forecast / month-end close / green light P//L process and calendar for all Labels, setting expectations for deliverables and reviews. During forecast submission periods, he/she will be responsible for checking submissions, assisting studios, troubleshooting and ensuring accurate submissions
- Business Partnering - Become a partner to studio finance and label finance CFOs, delivering value to the studios while also building a give-and-take relationship. Provide support/budgeting assistance/reporting to the team, including department budgeting, monthly reporting, PO and headcount requisition approvals
- Financial Reporting - Assist in building/framing regular reporting decks, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), Board reports, Estimate reporting. Assist in rolling up, consolidating and developing decks with insightful analysis that identifies areas of opportunity and risk
- Title Plan - Responsible for oversight of All Labels Title Plan, including communicating with Central management
- Digital Reporting - Responsible for developing digital reporting (revenue and P/), including consolidating digital metrics from multiple platforms and providing insightful analysis in this developing area. Coordinate and manage Games Services reviews
Technical Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required
- An MBA is preferred
- Industry experience is preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in a divisional or corporate finance role
- Skilled user of financial database software; and proficiency in Essbase Financials
- Advanced MS Excel skills; macros and the ability to create polished and streamlined reporting in PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of Essbase or other financial reporting tools
- Strong understanding of multi-dimensional databases
- Ability to influence others and drive sustainable change throughout the organization
