Finance Manager, Real Estate Funds Management – Tokyo recruitment
Reporting to the Head of Finance you will assist in all aspects related to the financial management of the the business, the funds and fund investment.
The position is open to native and non-native Japanese speakers but you must be FLUENT.
The role:
- Oversee all aspects of fund level reporting, providing input/assistance to both the Fund Management, Fund Accounting and overseas Client Services team as required.
- Assist with the preparation of the business plan and monitoring of the financial performance of the Japanese business unit.
- Perform financial analysis as required including feasibility studies for potential new products.
- Assist / Manage finance related projects as and when required and participate in non-finance related projects where a finance representative is required.
- Actively contribute to the continual streamlining of processes and procedures.
- Supervise and review junior accountants.
- Work with Corporate Finance, Acquisitions and Asset Management and other members of the Finance team on fund investment and eeal related issues.
Experience:
- Experienced working in a financial institution, fund and/or real estate environment.
- Ability to read, write and speak ENGLISH AND JAPANESE at a professional level.
- Experience of reporting under both Japan, IFRS US GAAP at both a consolidated and SPC level.
- Understanding of both Japanese and International tax as regards overseas investment into Japan / cross border transactions.
- Advanced Excel modelling skills and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills.
