Position Description:

At SunGard we are looking for a Finance Manager to join the Corporate Banking business segment. The successful candidate will be in charge of supporting the Senior Finance Manager within the business unit, to ensure all financial data is properly posted and reported.

Main Duties
•Assist in optimising financial processes
•Researching the different factors that influence business performances by being an agent of change
•Implement corporate accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure the maintenance of fiscal records
•Provide the necessary data to support analysis of the business plan from a financial standpoint
•Build forecast and budget submissions of revenue, expenses, headcount, and capital expenses in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
•Track and document variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets
•Update and document the commercial pipeline, archiving contracts, and preparing data necessary for revenue recognition schedules
•Review and reconciling Balance Sheet line items within the business unit
•Execute segment-wide standardisation initiatives
•Build up budget and forecast schedules: Revenue, Expenses, Headcount, Capital Expenses
•Prepare and reconcile periodically consolidated management accounts, providing information and data to support local and international Management
•Consolidate information between corporate functions, business area, units and activities for financial reporting regarding actual, forecast and budget data
•Execute against a monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting procedure, leveraging supporting tools and systems
•Fulfill report requests, be they ad hoc or meeting statutory and corporate accounting standards
•Engage with internal and external auditors to address requests for data and documents
•Engage with the Corporate and Shared Services functions to ensure financials are properly recorded, including management of the Balance Sheet line items

Position Requirements:
•Proven experience in Finance Accounting roles: FPA, Controllership, Accounting
•Experience in analysing financial statements
•Good understanding of UK GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
•Detailed knowledge of Financial Systems
•Univeristy degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration with a specialisation in financial controlling/accounting is preferred
•Accounting qualification preferred
•Fluency in English
•Advanced Excel skills
•Ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the organisation
•High level of autonomy and flexibility
•An analytical mind
•Strong attention to detail
