Finance Manager (Shipping industry)
A leading ship brokers are looking for an experienced team manager to drive performance in their business following recent acquisition.
Based in the City, this job would suit a strong communicator who has the personality and motivation to improve processes by helping to align company and finance team goals.
The organisation have almost doubled in size over the last 2 years following organic and acquisitive growth, this role will therefore allow the opportunity for real ownership to be taken and lead to the successful candidate achieving long term achievement based success.
Key responsibilities will include but won’t be limited to:
• Management of team responsible for consolidated statutory accounts under IFRS
• Management of team responsible for preparation monthly management accounts
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Continuous system process reviewing, improving and implementing
• Management of four members of staff
My client is looking for a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS. Previous supervisory experience is also essential for this role, whilst relevant industry experience would be highly beneficial.
