Finance Manager, Swiss Statutory Reporting
As Swiss Carriers Reporting team we are responsible for the legal entity reporting according to Swiss statutory accounting policies, US GAAP and economic valuation principles for the holding and reinsurance companies based inSwitzerland. As a member of our team, you support us as an expert responsible for a broad range of topical and transaction related accounting and reporting issues with the primary focus on Swiss statutory accounting policies. You provide comprehensive analysis and accounting research support for reinsurance and financial transactions with respect to accounting and financial statements. Further, you participate in projects in the areas of accounting policies and reporting processes and contribute to establish integrated reporting deliverables with the goal to eventually cover all valuations and time dimensions. Further you ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.
The opportunity
- Provide accounting research support and expertise including comprehensive analysis with respect to legal entity accounting and reporting with the focus on Swiss statutory accounting policies
- Assess and implement changes in Swiss accounting law for entities in scope
- Contribute to the alignment of reporting processes and of the risk and control framework between Swiss statutory accounting policies, US GAAP and economic valuation principles
- Support the preparation and review of annual financial statements subject to external audit and quarterly BoD / CFO financial information
- Participate in task related projects
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required
About you
- University degree in Finance or Economy
- 5 – 7 years of work experience in the insurance / reinsurance industry
- Proven history of profound knowledge regarding Swiss statutory accounting policies and the preparation of financial statements / reports
- Knowledge of US GAAP desirable
- Experience with risk and control frameworks
- Strong analytical skills
- Team player with clear communication skills
- Engaging and motivating
- Strong command of English and German language
