This global business is one of the world's leading financial services organisations with expanding operations both here and across Asia Pac. Due to this continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a standout candidate to join their high performance financial control team.
Managing a team of 6, this key role will require a technically astute candidate to manage the financial reporting across one of the key business units. Key duties will include:
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with other finance and other managent functions in order to enable effective exchange of information required to support general accounting services
- Ensure the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting work papers on a timely/monthly basis for all designated entities, ensuring a robust balance sheet reconciliation and month end process is in place and adhered to
- Ensure accuracy of trial balances prior to release to external account preparers (proactively engage Technical Accounting Group as required)
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of Financial Statements and audit work papers, including accurate and timely assembly of supporting documentation and arrangement of audit confirmations.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of the businesses accounting policies and processes including preparation of journal requests, supporting month-end activities and completing necessary checks and reconciliations to guarantee the accuracy of financial information
- Support the timely response of auditor requests and queries
Successful candidates will be CA qualified with 3 - 6 years PQE experience gained through one of the 'Big 4' and with a financial services/banking client base. Due to high level stakeholder interaction, excellent communication and presentation skills are essential to be considered for the role.
