As part of then ANZ Wealth Finance restructure we currently have an opportunity for an impressive technical accounting manager with a chartered background and preferably exposure to the Financial Services Sector to take up the pivotal role of Finance Manager, Wealth.
The Finance Manager, Wealth is responsible for managing a team of 6 and providing accounting and reporting services in regards to the non-insurance ANZ Wealth Businesses.
In more detail this will include:
- Ensure the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting work papers on a timely/monthly basis for all designated entities, ensuring a robust balance sheet reconciliation and month end process is in place and adhered to
- Ensure accuracy of trial balances prior to release to external account preparers (proactively engage Technical Accounting Group as required)
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of Financial Statements and audit work papers, including accurate and timely assembly of supporting documentation and arrangement of audit confirmations.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of ANZ accounting policies and processes including preparation of journal requests, supporting month-end activities and completing necessary checks and reconciliations to guarantee the accuracy of financial information
- Build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders to enable business objectives to be achieved
- Build and support an effective and cooperative relationship across both on shore and off shore accounting teams to ensure delivery of service (ensure regular and structured communication with offshore teams)
- Manage the working relationships with the offshore teams, being the primary onshore contact point
To be considered for this pivotal role you will need to be a qualified Accountant with at least 5 years Big 4 post qualification experience. You will need to have exposure to the Financial Services Sector either from a chartered environment or through working in the sector itself. You will be a strong people manager with accomplished stakeholder management skills. You will also be highly analytical and ideally have exposure to SAP General Ledger.
