Our client, a major player within the FMCG Food Industry and with HQ in the US, is looking for a Finance Manager with strong communication, finance and strategic skills
to set up its European HQ in Brussels.
In this role, you will report directly to the Company CFO and to the General Manager for Europe and play a vital role in this new venture.
Job Description
Purpose of Role:
The role will assume direct accountability for starting up and maintaining the financial organization for the company's European operations. The role will be responsible for the creation of a legal entity in Europe and setting local units, as well as implementing processes and systems for financial reporting. In addition, this role will lead the Blue Print (long term strategic plan) process and provide strategic support in market expansions across Europe. The role will require both strong collaboration and partnership with the management team, based in the USA, and respective local manager. The role will be based in Brussels, Belgium.
Your responsibilities will entail:
1. Building the organization
- Lead the creation of legal entity(s) in Europe.
- Establish required business processes and systems to support the European business.
- Facilitate the Blue print process for Europe
- Assess financial impacts of key strategic business decisions, including opening new markets, supply investments and route to market.
- Assess the need and provision for external service providers for payroll, audit tax, insurance, pensions, vehicle leasing, I.T. support, etc.
2. Co-pilote business day to day
- Provide financial co-piloting support to the General Manager.
- Analyzing market performance.
- Co-ordinate the period and quarterly financial close process and provide input into the year end estimate for Europe.
3. Coordinate the yearly plan process
- Plan and oversee the preparation of annual Operating Plan and forecasts in all business areas.
- Analyze company operations to identify cost saving opportunities and areas for improvement and growth.
Job Requirements
Education Key Experiences
- min 5 -7 years experience in Finance
- Diverse financial background involving Controlling, Demand and Supply experience.
- Experience working in and tackling complex challenges in a variety of difference businesses
- Proven track record in setting up and leading business ventures
- Excellent communication skills in English - both oral and written.
- University Degree
Preferred
- International working experience
- Multi-lingual - fluency in English a must. Good knowledge of French is a plus
