Business Unit and Role Overview
Finance is responsible for the firm's capital management and risk monitoring. By tracking and analyzing the capital flows of the firm, Finance is the principal adviser to senior management on essential areas such as controlling the firm's global risk exposure and the profitability and structure of the firm's various businesses. Finance activities are organized into six main areas: The Controllers, The Corporate Insurance and Risk Advisory Group, Corporate Tax, Corporate Treasury, Credit and Market Risk Management and Analysis. Finance is a critical area within Goldman Sachs.
This Accountant role sits within the Accounts Payable team and supports Moscow based Russian entities, reporting to the Chief Accountant in charge.
Responsibilities
• Coordination and control of payment processing for vendors invoices, maintaining of documentation for currency control
• Defining and managing procedures for corporate and local reporting on travel and other specific expenses
• Conduct accounting postings in the local accounting software package
• Reconciliation of intercompany balances in US GAAP
Basic Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of full time work experience in an accounting role
• Working experience with Russian Accounting Standards
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Fluent English language skills
Preferred Requirements
• Some knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage
