The Governors of this Academy wish to appoint a well qualified and experienced Finance Officer / Manager to manage and oversee the Academy’s finances to provide an efficient and effective financial service.
The post holder will be experienced at working in either an education or accounting environment and must be prepared to work towards a higher post in the Academy in the near future. They will be a versatile thinker who can look forwards and outwards to develop and champion innovative solutions.
With a strong technical background, the role will include the preparation of management accounting up to PL and balance sheet, management and statutory accounts, managing cash flow and assisting with the preparation of forecasts, budgets and reporting. An ability to ensure deadlines are met, attention to detail and accuracy of reporting is essential and AAT qualified status is desirable.
This is a role that can offer opportunities for continued personal and professional development. You will have previous experience of best practice in accounting, including knowledge of accounting standards and the skills to enable the preparation of annual accounts to the level required by external auditors.
