Finance Operations Analyst
A fantastic job opportunity for a motivated accounts professional to join a growing and meritocratic financial services institution based in Edinburgh. This job will offer the successful candidate the chance to shape a national business along with offering great progression opportunities.
This is a growth role within the Finance Operations team, and will see you preparing accounting journals, daily reconciliations and control checks along with any required analysis. Another key responsibility of the role is assisting in the preparation of various reporting packs for internal and external use, including monthly roll forward, reconciliation against control totals and support of business contacts. Exciting opportunities within this role include the chance to work as part of a team developing a new source system and moving this from a project to a business as usual system. You'll also be working on the general ledger and balance sheet control teams.
You should be actively studying towards an accountancy qualification, though this is not essential if you have plenty of prior, relevant experience. You should be comfortable preparing monthly accounting journals, and must have good Excel skills, knowledge of the Access system would be beneficial but not essential. Understanding of balance sheet reconciliations would be of great value to this role.
