About the role
The successful candidate will lead a team which ensures that our financial operations are prepared for our continued expansion. This will include managing a team that works with our Retail and Operations teams to ensure we service our vendors in a manner fitting with our "Customer Obsession" philosophy.
The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers / vendors.
People Management:
Leading and developing a team of Finance Operation Analysts, including hiring, training, and employee development; managing group workload and establishing priorities; ensuring existing policies and procedures are followed; managing annual performance targets and operating budget; creating and monitoring appropriate performance metrics. This position will also act as an escalation point in resolving complex outstanding issues with internal and external business partners.
Project Management:
Solving complex customer/vendor issues and proactively heading off negative service trends. Understanding and correctly utilizing resources provided by internal systems, departments, policies, and procedures. Development, analysis and improvement of new strategies and procedures. You will have the ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals. Developing and achieving performance goals and objectives in order to achieve vendor promise expectations.
Basic requirements
- Relevant experience in a similar financial operations environment.
- People management experience, with a strong passion for hiring and developing people.
- Desire to ensure a great customer experience with every contact/case.
- The ability to deal with multiple stakeholders coupled with a curiosity on how the various teams work together.
- Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
- Fluency in English.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Processes is advantageous.
- International experience would be of advantage.
- Fluency in German would be of advantage, but is not essential.
