Finance Operations Manager SS
My client, a Globally renowned business based in Gloucestershire are looking to recruit a Manager to guide and support their AR and AP teams as well as being hands on with the transactional accounting.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Shared Services this is a newly created pivotal role in the development of the newly created shared services team.
Transactional Processing Duties
• AP and AR processing, for one or more of the entities within the SSC.
• Assist with peaks in workload for the various entities as required.
Supervisory Duties
Manage and coordinate the transactional finance team activities:
• Supervision and support of AP and AR teams. Escalation point for queries.
• Ensure swift response to customer queries, in conjunction with Team Leaders.
• Supervision of KPI collection and reporting.
• Recurrent team meetings.
• Holiday and sickness management.
• Completion of Team Leader PDR's.
• Support with recruitment as necessary.
Quality and Compliance of transactional finance team activities:
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting procedures and controls.
• Ensure processes and transactions within the SSC meet with internal and external audit requirements.
Customer Services:
• Ensure Key Account Managers attend operational review meetings with the local teams, and review and approve the reporting actions plans.
• Attend recurrent managers meetings with customers.
• Identification of process improvement opportunities, and creation of action plans.
Candidate skills requirements
• Strong team management skills, in a Shared Services environment
• Customer services experience
• A recognised accountancy qualification is preferable
• At least 5 years experience in finance transactional processing (AP, AR)
• Experience of finance within the manufacturing sector would be an advantage
• French language skills would be an advantage
• SAP and/or MS Dynamics experience would be an advantage
