A fantastic opportunity for a qualified / nearly qualified accountant to join an international Investment Bank. The bank specialises in providing advice on mergers acquisitions and private/public placement, as well as research and asset management to a diverse range of corporate clients, institutional investors and high net worth individuals.
This is a pivotal role supporting and deputising for the COO of the Group, covering all areas of finance and operations including working with suppliers and clients at all times. This role will be attractive to someone who enjoys managing, a hands on approach, variety and getting involved in all areas of finance and operations.
Key responsibilities:
* Overseeing regular reporting of outsourced finance and operations teams in four countries
* Deputising for the COO as required
* Group cash flow and treasury management
* Management of the key invoicing and internal Partner revenue model control systems
* Monthly management accounts preparation
* Management of the year end processes for the group
* Oversight of the regulatory returns process with the FSA
* Supporting Group fund management operations including interfacing with portfolio companies
* Management of the outsourced IT and telephony services on a day to day basis
* Such duties and exercise of such powers as line management may from time to time properly assign
Candidate requirements:
* Qualified or near qualified ACCA/CIMA with experience working in a similar role
* Strong academic background
* Three or more years' experience in an FSA regulated environment
* FSA reporting experience
* Ability to understand financial accounts and FSA regulatory drivers
* Strong Excel modelling skills
