Finance Projects Manager

My client, a leading and rapidly growing Asset Management firm is looking for a Finance Projects Manager to join the Finance function help deliver and implement a range of finance related initiatives.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Finance Team in identifying opportunities for systems / process enhancements and accounting / regulatory changes impacting the company. The Project Manager will work with the relevant members of the finance team to develop and implement the projects identified.
Duties will include;
*Working with finance teams to implement new systems and enhancements to existing systems
*Working with finance teams to identify opportunities to leverage use of existing finance systems
*Working with finance teams to identify and execute simplification and standardization opportunities in existing processes
*Assisting Finance team with assessing impact of changes in accounting standards and regulatory environment and making the necessary changes to systems and processes
*Other ad hoc projects as directed
Internally, the candidate will need to be able to establish good working both within the finance team and with stakeholders at all levels across the business. Additionally the candidate will need to establish strong relationships with external vendors / advisors. This role is will involve a high degree of hands on work.

Experience and skills required

The successful candidate will have:

*A recognised accountancy qualification and significant post qualification experience
*Experience of delivering change projects in a fast moving environment
*Experience of implementing of new systems and working with outside vendors
*Ability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to fast changing priorities
*Strong 'people skills' for building relationships with colleagues at all levels
*Excellent communication skills
*Analytical background evidenced by a good scientific, business or economics degree
*Experience of fixed income credit products, gained in an investment banking, hedge fund, asset management or audit environment preferred, theoretical understanding required
*Strong interpersonal skills
*A desire to grow and develop within an expanding business
