Position Description:
The Finance Strategic Reporting Delivery Workstream, within the broader Finance Strategic Architecture program, is a multi-year effort to define, plan, and execute against the Finance Division's long term information architecture strategy. Members of the Workstream work in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders across the Firm, including Technology, Risk, the Front Office, and other large Firm strategic Change The Bank (CTB) initiatives. The scope of the workstream covers reporting across all of Finance, inclusive of internal management reporting as well as external reporting to regulators.

This position requires a candidate with considerable experience with Finance business and systems analysis, especially as it relates to the implementation and integration of ERP Packages. Key responsibilities of the position Include:

- Define business requirements for the strategic reporting program, with emphasis on process/policy definition, governance, data standards, and reporting components

- Perform detailed business and systems analysis focused on the (1) integration of a large-scale General Ledger (GL) package (such as SAP, PeopleSoft, or Oracle) with the broader Finance architecture, (2) assessing the remediation requirements for downstream consumers of GL data, and (3) defining the functional requirements for GL reporting capabilities.

- Support the implementation of the Finance Division's strategic reporting platform

- Take ownership of and lead major threads of work within the workstream

- Cultivate relationships across the Finance organization with key constituency groups such as Regulatory Reporting, Planning/Forecasting, Capital Reporting, Tax, and Product Control.

- Present workstream status, issues, risks, and recommendations to workstream leadership and other senior management

A profile of the ideal candidate is as follows:

- CLIENT AND BUSINESS ANALYSIS SKILLS - The candidate will be required to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across teams and functional boundaries. The candidate will need to collaborate with client partners and experts at all levels across Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Finance, ISG Management Reporting, SEC Reporting, Treasury, Tax, etc., to extract business requirements in a structured manner and communicate those requirements to IT as well as to other Finance business users.

- TECHNICAL SKILLS - The candidate should have direct experience supporting Finance ERP implementation efforts. Ideally, the candidate should have supported workstreams related to GL Reporting, Consolidations, System Integration, and/or Downstream Remediation. In addition, the candidate should have experience working with business intelligence and relational database technologies.

- CORPORATE FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING SKILLS - The candidate should have experience within a Corporate Finance function, with exposure to one or more of the following functions: product control; corporate reporting; divisional management reporting; legal entity reporting; or planning/forecasting/budgeting.

- PROJECT MANAGEMENT - A successful candidate bring strong Project Management skills with demonstrated experience on large global or multi-divisional projects.

- COMMUNICATION - This role requires an individual able to communicate with multiple stakeholders across Finance and Technology. The successful candidate will need to be able to clearly articulate objectives, requirements and risks issues. Strong written and oral communication skills are critical.

- TEAMPLAY/SHARES KNOWLEDGE - The role involves a great deal of interaction with other members of the team and relies on the ability to identify appropriate information, sharing leveraging of information, effectively and appropriately

Skills Required:
- Deep expertise conducting business and system analysis

- Experience implementing ERP packages (i.e. GL modules) and/or packaged analytic applications (e.g. SAP DW, PeopleSoft EPM)

- Experience in financial services sector, particularly in securities industry

-2+ years of line experience within a Corporate Finance function (ideally within a product control group)

- Mastery of all MS Office tools Strong technical skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a creative and flexible approach to problem solving

- Exposure to data warehousing , business intelligence, and or corporate financial reporting technologies

- Exposure to SQL

- Excellent interpersonal relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills, both written and verbal

- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment

- Keen attention to detail

- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work

- Desire to challenge the status quo and propose new solutions

- Strong command of accounting principles
