Finance Transformation – Senior Consultant / Manager, Sydney recruitment

PwC's Finance Transformation team is currently seeking an ambitious Manager/Senior Consultant to join our team in either Sydney or Melbourne. You will be an integral part of PwC's expanding finance business and will have the opportunity to develop your commercial, consulting and client handling skills across a range of assignments and clients.

Organisations are increasingly turning to PwC for advice on how to develop their business operations to respond to new market environments and challenges. For finance functions, this means meeting the evolving needs and expectations of the business whilst maintaining effective financial control and addressing the ever-increasing regulatory requirements. Finance transformation is a key and expanding component of our business and we need to be confident that we have high performing teams of experts in place to help our clients meet those challenges across all industries.

Key responsibilities:
• Build strong and lasting relationships with clients
• Display a systematic approach to issue identification, making judgments based on relevant data
• Apply divergent as well as convergent thinking that results in practical recommendations and solutions
• Be responsive to client requests for input and advice
• Plan work effectively and efficiently on more than one project
• Identify potential consulting opportunities and follow through with these
• Play an active role in raising awareness internally and externally of the Finance Transformation offering and capabilities

Key requirements:

• Bachelor degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or another relevant subject and/or CIMA / CA or CPA qualified
• Good understanding of how finance functions operate and the core activities within finance
• Significant experience on finance transformation engagements including strategy and vision, target operating model design, detailed process and organisation design and implementation
• Strong commercial focus and previous success and experience in advising clients, either internal or external
• A proven ability to quickly identify the systems, processes and risks relevant to clients and their goals
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Confidence in dealing with the senior management of major organisations
• Well developed interpersonal and communications skills, including negotiation and influencing skills
• Solid skills in writing reports and participating in presentations and workshops
