Finance & Treasury Consultant
A high profile programme providing funding opportunities across a number of sectors. The programme is critical in terms of the potential impact it can deliver and the stakeholder relationships it reaches. The role will involve being the first point of contact for advice on financial decision making at operational level.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and team management
Engage proactively in the development and implementation of business strategy, role modelling leadership by: championing ideas for performance improvement, keeping up to date with priorities and targets across the business and the wider organisation, supporting colleagues to understand and engage with priorities and progress
Management of Financial Reporting Analysis
Consolidate finance month end close out working closely with Contract finance managers - identifying key variants to plans/reforecasts whilst ensuring a full reconciliation between the External database and SAP Investigate all reconciliation differences with delivery teams and ensure programme management are kept up to date through monthly meetings on risks to delivery.
Support the delivery of exceptional financial management services to the programme.
Develop and embed effective financial controls and processes.
Co-ordinate and support the annual audit.
Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and support the Finance Treasury Business partner is delivering a fit for purpose finance operations function.
Skills:
Qualified accountant with minimum 3 years post qualification experience
Experience of working within public sector organisations, particularly aligned to
a central government remit
