Finance/Payables Manager

Position Description:
• Reviews rebate payable documents prepared by Rebate Payables Analysts for accuracy, completeness and adherence to contract terms; approves all client rebate payments.
• Maximizes retained rebate revenues via accurate rebate payment calculation
• Works with Accounting to identify and resolve any issues related to rebate payment
• Ensures accurate financial statements and a timely quarter-end close; prepares quarter-end rebate payable closing schedules and subsidiary ledgers
• Develops and monitors SOX and audit controls to ensure successful audit results; recommends revisions and changes as needed
• Participates in RFP and client agreement draft reviews and interpretation of rebate payment related terms; oversees implementation of new and revised contract terms to ensure accurate and timely issuance of rebate payments.
• Supervises the day-to-day responsibilities of the Rebate Payables Analysts
• Oversees the accurate and timely maintenance of the Rebate Payments Database
• Analyzes, resolves and answers complex or difficult problems presented by Rebate Payables Analysts and internal and external customers
• Facilitates the accurate and timely preparation of government required rebate reporting
• Assists in the development of new comprehensive rebate accounting system
• Recommends and implements changes to department policy or procedure to ensure integrity of the rebate payable process
• Special projects and ad hoc reporting

• Process improvement experience
• Contract administration experience preferred, but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access; SQL experience a plus
• Pharmacy Benefit Management and / or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative based field (i.e. Math, Finance, Accounting)
• 5+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Prior managerial or supervisory experience
• Proven quantitative experience and ownership of projects
• Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
