Financial Accountant – £60K – involvement in projects & management reporting recruitment

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in continuing to build and manage the financial and accounting infrastructure in order to achieve defined business objectives, operational goals and growth strategies to support the businesses.
It is expected that initially the individual will be involved in assisting the team with The Initiatives. Once these are completed, the individual will have defined role and be responsible for:
All statutory and regulatory reporting requirements of certain corporate entities:-
- Preparing and posting daily monthly journal entries and thereby ensuring that the books and records of the relevant entities are up to date and accurate at all times.
- Assisting with reporting and disclosure requirements prescribed by US Finance under US GAAP, extensive liaison with the business managers, investment managers and senior members of finance in US and UK.
- Preparation of detailed monthly management accounts using Oracle general ledger system in accordance with group timetable and to provide analysis and explanations.
- Assisting and preparing year-end statutory accounts and relevant disclosures under UK GAAP for limited liability companies and for LLP’s, working with their manager, co-ordinating the annual audit and filings covering assorted financial, tax and payroll related matters.
- Where applicable, co-ordinating with 3rd party accountants to file relevant local accounting and tax requirements.
- Preparation of data and information for UK and US tax requirements for various entities and the LLP
- Preparation of disclosure requirements for US GAAP quarterly and annual reporting
- To liaise with business and work with colleagues in the London/NY Finance team to prepare forecasts and ad-hoc management reports.
Skills:-
- Qualified accountant with extensive financial reporting experience from either a commercial or financial services background
- Versatile skillset with desire to take on new tasks
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal - comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and able to highlight issues and suggest solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel Word
