Financial accountant
A business services provider is seeking a financial accountant Based in London.
Job Responsibilities:
* Will be responsible for some of the monthly and quarterly financial closing processes (e.g. balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals, processing invoices and payments, completing VAT and other tax returns etc.)
* Providing timely, accurate and reliable financial and management information to senior management. (e.g. to assist in the setup of a monthly management information pack with variance analysis as well as financial forecast information such as spend by supplier/account).
* Year end audit: assist with year-end audit by preparing all necessary schedules and analysis of specific general ledger accounts.
* Establish and maintain appropriate financial policies, procedures and controls. (e.g. review of supplier payments and other expenses, collection of accounts receivables etc.).
* Involvement in ad-hoc financial projects (e.g. introduce new processes.)
* Understanding and analysis of Work in Progress required for our subsidiary in France.
Key Qualifications/ Skills Required:
* Must have some accounting qualifications - full or part qualified accountant.
* Minimum 3 years accounting experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems, including experience of multiple currencies and international subsidiaries and related VAT and other tax rules.
* Must have strong Microsoft Excel ability
* Experience of credit control and reporting, dealing with customers and suppliers.
* Must have great attention to detail.
* Good organiser, Self-disciplined and self-motivated.
* Effective written and oral communication skills
* A basic understanding of French would be advantageous.
