Financial Accountant
My client is a leading UK banking group. They are currently seeking an accountant to join their structured finance control team to provide support while the team is moved into different functions.
Responsibilities include:
Preparation of month end consolidation including month end journals, monthly forecasts and analytical reviews
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations including risk weighted asset reporting under both Basel I and II
Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns and associated analysis and investigation into movements
Preparation of monthly quarterly Statutory reports to external regulatory bodies (including FLA Returns and ONS forms)
Providing support to the Manager / Senior manager in dealing with queries and investigations into outstanding balances
We are seeking ideally a Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting and communication skills. This role requires strong financial accounting skills developed within financial services and preferably someone who has worked in a financial consolidation role previously.
