Financial Accountant – Chelmsford recruitment
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading specialist in insurance and reinsurance as part of the Financial Accounting Team based in Chelmsford.
This role will give you the opportunity to get involved in the financial reporting for both the holding company and at group level. The role will not simply be financial reporting but will allow you to get involved in the variance and segment analysis whilst assisting on the regulatory and statutory reporting as well as the planning and forecasting. Senior level face off will be a natural part of the role as you will regularly liaise with both the financial controller and managing director of the business area as well as communicating with local underwriters. The role will also extend to working on and improving the efficiency of internal controls as well as managing a small team.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with a strong degree. Insurance experience and excellent IFRS and UK GAAP will be highly advantageous as well as an appreciation for controls and systems skills.
