Financial Accountant + German – US Multinational in Dublin – SAP recruitment

This role will have full responsibility for all accounting for German speaking countries, specifically Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

The Role:

Overall responsiblty for month end Accounting for country/countries.
Manage the end-to-end Local and US GAAP accounting.
Supervise the following process areas - purchase invoices, payroll, cash application, general ledger, month-end close, management reporting and statutory accounts.
Manage all annual statutory audits for the country.
Ensure all regulatory, compliance and statistical matters for the region are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Oversee monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Complete regular legal entity income statement and balance sheet reviews, liaising with and assisting the Tax Department where necessary, to carry out legal entity forecasting.
Involved in preparation of cost-centre budgets and annual operating plans.

The Person:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, DECF or other equivalent).
Experience in a multi-national organisation essential.
SAP experience preferred.
Knowledge of Local and US GAAP and experience preparing local statutory accounts desired.
Experience managing a small team, ideally gained in a multi-national.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
