FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT recruitment
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading and growing company in the city centre of Edinburgh.
Core Responsibilities:
- Preparation of consolidated and subsidiary monthly accounts pack including analytical review.
- Work with Business Performance team to ensure accurately monthly reporting completed for Board.
- Responsibility for accuracy of general ledger including review of accounts assistant work.
- Calculation of complex intercompany recharges.
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts and key point of contact for audit team.
- Preparation of monthly accruals.
- Over-sight of supplier ledger, bank reconciliations and pre-payment work.
- Over-sight of Purchase Order system.
- Monitoring of daily and monthly cash positions.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Prepare information for inclusion in P11D’s and other areas of payroll tax compliance.
- Involvement in project work as required.
- Undertake continuous improvement as part of normal working practice.
- Respond to technical accounting queries within the Company.
- Ensure Company compliant with all accounting standards and regulations.

Core Requirements:
- Strong technical accountancy experience with up to 3 years PQE.
- Experience of UKGAAP essential, IFRS beneficial.
- Experience of completing VAT returns.
- Experience of SageLine50 and advanced skill in Excel and Microsoft office packages.
- Experience of consolidations.
- Experience within financial services desirable.
- Experience of SME’s beneficial.
- Ability to explain finance issues to non-finance professionals.
- Previous experience of task or people management.
- Display professionalism at all times.
