Financial Accountant- Securitisation recruitment

• Prepare IFRS compliant financial statements for those entities within the SIV Management business line from the books and records maintained by finance.

• Provide oversight to the Group consolidation process for all of the Bank sponsored vehicles supported by finance

• Develop processes to ensure these tasks are carried out efficiently whilst minimising operational risk.

• Close and highly effective liaison with the “client” areas

• Support Financial Accounting Manager in provision of a flexible, expert statutory and financial accounting service

• Act as a point of reference and source of expertise on statutory accounting requirements.

• Act as a point of reference and source of expertise on Group financial reporting processes and procedures.

• Be willing to assist other areas of with other tasks as and when necessary.

• Participate in process improvement projects across the wider area.

• Working around the priorities of the finance client areas with sensitivity, patience and assertiveness.

• Maintaining an up-to-date working knowledge of the Group’s financial reporting processes and procedures.

• Maintaining an up-to-date working knowledge of IFRSs and an outline knowledge of the relevant legal frameworks.

• Ensuring information provided by finance client areas is complete and of a suitable standard.

• Contribute to a significant reduction in the number of “Database Amendments” made by finance entities

Experience/ Skills

• Accounting qualification

• Strong A levels (or equivalent) and relevant University degree

• Experience of statutory accounts preparation

• Investment banking experience preferable

• Exposure to IFRS financial instruments and related accounting principles

• Strong Analytical skills

• Strong Accounting skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills

• Strong MS Excel – ideally VBA experience

• Ability to work independently and take proactive action.
