Financial Accounting Analyst
Primary Objectives:
Performs accounting and financial analysis related work. Work involves processing, reviewing, and analyzing financial data; preparing reports and responding to inquiries; and recommending appropriate action to resolve issues. Works under moderate supervision, with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accurate, timely and comprehensive quality of financial data
- Analyzes issues involving assets, investment transactions, and internal data processing
- Analyzes asset, transaction, and investment program coding
- Analyzes market values and prices
- Analyzes tax lot impairment reports
- Prepares, posts and corrects financial data files utilized in client-specific accounting systems
- Compiles, calculates and distributes tax allocations
- Researches, organizes and produces monthly rate schedules
- Performs third-party review analyses, including accumulation of data, reporting, and monitoring of responses
- Performs related work as assigned
- Contributes to overall objectives of the Accounting Department
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting required
- Ability to perform and interpret numerical analyses and summarize financial records for accuracy
- Prepare reports and correspondence regarding findings
- Detail oriented and efficient
- Technology capable, multi-tasking, and flexible
- 1-3 years financial/accounting experience preferred
