Financial Accounting and Commercial Manager

The role

Lead the development of the Financial accounting function, processes and controls to meet the needs of the business and regulatory changes.
Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and support to Finance and business project and development teams
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Operations area, providing relevant MI to them in relation to accounting controls and attending senior management team meetings
Lead the implementation of full IFRS accounting within the Finance team and provision of analysis and commentary.
Lead the implementation of appropriate financial accounting systems, processes and controls for project field
Responsible for the overall review and sign off of quarterly and annual regulatory returns, annual accounts and inputting into the capital adequacy process.
To maintain expert knowledge in relation to statutory and regulatory changes impacting the finance function, ensuring these changes are made to systems and procedures and communicated to the business
Provision of wider commercial finance/ business partnering support, including the financial evaluation of opportunities, strategic planning, pricing proposals, financial due diligence activity, cost management and supporting contract negotiations.
To lead, manage, motivate, develop, counsel and appraise team members so that individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business.
