Financial Accounting Control Manager recruitment
The team’s primary responsibility is to ensure integrity in the month end financial reporting of the Fixed Income and Equities businesses spanning approximately 8,000+ accounts. A pipeline project for additional products offers the opportunity to become exposed to all major products supported in UBS.
Key delivery Opportunities:
• Change and Process Improvement
– Develop a framework whereby change and measurable process improvements can be introduced in a controlled manner with a goal of reducing cost by a minimum of 15% per year
– Craft best practices across both offshore and onshore teams
– Management of the integration of new business
• Internal Client Relationship Management
– To build key relationships with senior Operations clients and Finance stakeholders to ensure JRU understand their business needs and develops frameworks to better support them
– To continually review and, as a minimum, meet client Service Level Agreements
– Create a monthly pack for discussion at client meetings
– The provision of value added management information to internal clients
• Day-to-day Management of RTB Processes
– Ensuring daily analytical review of the balance sheet accounts for Equities and Fixed Income products
– Ongoing assessment of the control environment - monitoring best practice, integrity checks and standard controls
– Management of the month end close for all accounts
– Monitoring key risk areas to ensure there is no material impact to Financial statements
– Point of contact/escalation Finance Operational Control and the Specialist Processing Groups
– Ensure monthly re-class activities meet the Basel II reporting guidelines
– To build a business case for further insourcing of Financial accounting processing from across Ops
In order to be considered for this position your CV will illustrate the following
ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent)
Knowledge of front to back control processes for either FICC or Equities
Knowledge of Basel II requirements
