Financial Accoutnant
We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a leading blue chip business based in central London. The Financial Accountant role requires strong all round technical accounting skills and experience, driving the delivery of accounting support the for the more complex entities across the group and implementing projects to improve the quality of financial control processes, systems and procedures.
Core responsibilities and accountabilities:
*Consolidation of the group accounts
*Manage the delivery of statutory accounts for the UK entities working across the firm and with our external auditors (PWC) as applicable
*Day-to-day coordination of the audit for the UK entities, liaising with PWC and other Finance colleagues to provide audit deliverables and answer questions appropriately
*Update and maintain the group cash flow forecast and analysis, identifying key trends and providing commentary for variances
Manage the retained earning reconciliation for all entities ensuring that accounting is completed accurately
*Lead financial control improvement and efficiencies as they arise. Examples of the projects currently in the pipeline include:
- Review and update of the revenue recognition methodology and process
- Implementing a new Cash flow forecasting model in Cognos
- Implementing Balance sheet automation in Cognos.
Skills and experience:
*You will be a qualified accountant, ideally with experience in a Big 4 environment
*Experience of working in a group financial accounting function, demonstrating the technical competencies outlined above
*People management experience would be beneficial
*Excellent attention to detail and delivery of high quality work.
