REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Financial Administration Specialist will report to the Vice President of Fund Accounting and Operations.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with various business teams within Matthews as well as external vendors, the Financial Administration Specialist will primarily be responsible for assisting with the review or co-management of Annual reports and related filings, foreign and domestic security and mutual fund tax issues, expenses including third party supermarket vendors and mutual fund distributions. Many responsibilities and deadlines will follow monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual cycles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review annual/semi-annual/quarterly mutual fund financial statements and related filings.
- Assist with management of various audits.
- Assist with filing various foreign tax forms typically related to receiving treaty dividend rates across various jurisdictions, as well as other foreign and domestic tax reporting.
- Review and help manage mutual fund expenses.
- Manage the mutual fund distributions calendar and work closely with Treasurer on various related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree is required
- At least 5 years of experience with Financial Statement Review, Fund Accounting or related experience
- International experience preferred
- Must have excellent attention to details and good communication skills
- Have strong critical thinking and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have some experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Experience with Bloomberg a plus
- Must be a U.S citizen or authorized to work in the U.S on a permanent basis
