Financial Administrator Job in Valley Forge 19481, Pennsylvania US
Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies and a recognized employer of choice, seeks a financial administratorto support the team as a technical expert, identifying and resolving issues while promoting organizational quality. You will act as a key resource for team members within the unit and internal client contact. You will also review, monitor, and approve daily work to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Your primary duties and responsibilities:
- Organizes, assigns and assists with daily unit work flow. Performs technical support functions when necessary.
- Serves as a liaison representing Institutional Risk Treasury's interests with internal and external clients. Compiles information for and works with internal and external clients such as auditors, client services, legal, and risk management teams to execute client service needs for all clients.
- Ensures that audits are completed efficiently and according to established service levels. Provides trend analysis and input for improvement.
- Assists in training and cross-training of the unit and department crew members on various job responsibilities as assigned.
- Writes, analyzes, and presents management reports identifying trends and summarizing results in order to recommend changes or continued compliance with existing processes.
- Analyzes and reports operational issues to management. Assists in the development, documentation, and implementation of internal control procedures.
- Actively participates in Vanguard Unmatchable Excellence (VUE) initiatives, including a continued focus on VUE related activities, such as metrics tracking and reporting, proactively seeking new ways to meet VUE dashboard goals.
- Provides off-hour availability in the event that systems related issues or problems occur.
- Assists supervisor with oversight of the unit as assigned.
- Participates and/or leads special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- An undergraduate degree in business related field or equivalent experience.
- Two to three years of related work experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze problem situations quickly and take appropriate action under tight time constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build effective working relationships with colleagues in other units/divisions.
- Demonstrated flexibility and judgment in a dynamic environment. Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail while frequently adjusting priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to understand and communicate both business and technical issues with team, management and system support.
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
- Ability to interact with various levels of management.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
