Alfred State College is currently seeking applications for the following position.
Financial Aid Counselor
The financial aid counselor will advise students and parents regarding
their eligibility for various aid programs. Perform needs analysis
corrections and package student financial aid along with reviewing
forms to ensure accurate reporting and to exercise professional
judgment. Have knowledge of state and federal regulations with the
ability to interpret their complexities. Compose and prepare letters,
answer telephone and email questions, assist students with electronic
applications. Assume primary responsibility for a financial aid
program. Bachelors Degree is required. Strong written, oral and
interpersonal skills are highly needed for this position. Organizational
skills, including the ability to manage time, prioritize work, and
handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous financial aid
experience is desired.
