Position Description:
The person would be the financial lead for financial reporting and analysis, including:
Producing monthly reporting, on actuals and forecast including in depth analysis of results
Resource-level planning for several groups.
Meeting monthly with department leadership to discuss their financial performance
Ensuring appropriate accounting of expenditures
Performing monthly closing tasks such as correcting and accrual entries
Providing recommendations on expense control and management
Position Requirements:
Provide financial and technical expertise on multiple budgets requiring complex financial analysis
Analyze the potential financial consequences of alternative business decisions relating to profit opportunities and significant capital expenditures.
Prepare analysis and interpretation of financial statements and related reports.
Research, analyze and document moderate to complex financial projects within assigned department.
Prepare and analyze operating and strategic plans.
Work with senior management to assist them in driving the business forward.
Position Attributes:
Four-year college degree required.
Concentration in Finance or Accounting field preferred.
Three years to five years of Finance or Accounting experience is required (within an expense control field that includes forecasting and modeling).
Proficiency in Excel and Access required. and
SAP software experience preferred.
Strong Analytical and Technical skills
Ability to think through and solve complex business problems with supervisory consultation as needed.
