Financial Analyst – Corporate Finance recruitment

Position details:              

Primary function of the analyst is to develop and use detailed Excel models to analyze, monitor, track, and forecast performance and the effectiveness of strategic initiatives supporting management in the decision making process. The position provides a practical way of learning Brixmor’s portfolio of assets and for learning about the retail real estate business. The company has a history of promotion from within and this position is an excellent starting point.

Responsibilities:             

• Develop and manage existing complex, financial models using Excel for financial analysis of investment properties, debt transactions and other structured finance transactions

• Incorporate financial models into executive level summaries/analysis for presentations and review purposes

• Manage projects across all groups in the company including accounting, finance, and marketing

• Other ad-hoc analysis for executive review

Skills required:

• Advanced knowledge of excel financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and budgeting

• Advanced computer skills (primarily Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

• Understanding of fundamental real estate principles and ability to apply them in modeling

• Strong understanding of financial statements analysis and accounting

• Ability to multi-task and quickly complete detailed analysis with a high degree of accuracy

• Exceptional analytical rigor

• Excels in a team-oriented work environment

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Exhibits a strong work ethic and accountability to deadlines

Education requirements: 

Top academic credentials with a degree in finance or quantitative business-related major required

Professional Experience:

1-3 years of analytical experience from a relevant finance or strategic role
