Job Summary The Ceridian SWAT team has been created to focus on critical projects requiring in depth and detailed data mining, financial analysis and issue resolution. The team will not be responsible for monthly close or forecasting responsibilities and therefore can commit their full attention a prioritized list of issues needing resolution. The SWAT team will extract and analyze data from numerous disparate financial systems and databases and will create models leveraging this data. Specifically, this role works with individuals throughout the organization to gain insight into historical financial information, perform and develop financial models and analysis from this information, and communicate the results to Ceridian senior leadership. This position will report into the Global Controller's organization via the Manager of Financial Analytics, and will be based out of Minneapolis, MN. Responsibilities: Accountable for prioritized list of financial projects, reporting and analysis. Focus on analyzing complex financial information and interpreting financial and operational data, drawing correlations and making recommendations regarding projects and future business opportunities/decisions to the senior leadership team. Prepare analysis to assist management in evaluating the financial impact of proposed programs, investments or other management actions. Assist in building, analyzing and tracking key financial metrics and key performance indicators to improve business insight and profitability. Perform complex budgeting and accounting analysis, prepare summary of findings, causes and present recommendations. Develop knowledge of various financial and reporting systems, their relation to each other and the general ledger and how to extract data from the systems. Qualifications: Bachelors, Masters or M.B.A. degree in a financial discipline and 3 plus years of related experience. Well-developed analytical skills including business economics, accounting and financial modeling. Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively. Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment while effectively managing multiple projects. Strong database skills. Knowledge/understanding of accounting principles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving ability. Demonstrated technical proficiency in Excel, Access and/or SAS software. Additional systems experience utilizing Cognos and Oracle would be beneficial. Some travel may be required.
