We are pleased to announce our search for a Financial Analyst / Development Associate for WPC’s Development Department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Financial Analyst / Development Associate is initially a financial analyst oriented position that will support the senior development team in all phases of development projects, spanning across all asset classes. This primarily includes financial analysis, acquisition due-diligence, budgeting, loan correspondence and closing checklist management, market analyses, scheduling and management of the entitlement process. The position could grow into a more senior development management position based on ability and performance. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
· Developing and maintaining proformas, budgets and schedules
· Coordinating loan closings and interacting with lenders
· Preparing and managing acquisition due diligence checklists
· Working with consultants to design and execute development programs
· Working with state and federal government authorities and agencies and community agencies to complete zoning entitlement and permitting process and ensuring compliance with entitlements, project plans and permits during construction
QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires strong financial and analytical skills with a passion for real estate development. The selected candidate will exhibit strengths that include:
· Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Real Estate; Graduate degree preferred.
· 1-5 years experience in multi-family and/or office financial analysis and development
· Strong analytical skills and able to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
· Advanced skills in cashflow modeling for complex equity/debt waterfall structures using both Excel and Argus.
· Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
· Experience in and in-depth knowledge of the Washington DC Area Multifamily Market a plus.
