Financial Analyst for a fast-paced environment Job in Luxembourg

The Opportunity

The purpose of this job is to consolidate and to financially control all subsidiaries located in Europe, Middle East and Africa. You will work in an international environment, interacting with multicultural and international accountants. Working from our European headquarters in Luxembourg, you will report to the Financial Controller.

The Responsibilities

Consolidation

● Responsible for the monthly consolidation of our 12 regional offices in the financial system (Cognos)
● Loading the financial statements in the reporting tool
● Validation of actual spending by accountability
● Check the Balance sheet account reconciliation

SOX Compliance

● Responsible for the SOX compliance within EMEA Sales Business Unit
● Supporting and monitoring specific SOX remediation activities
● Development of internal controls
Cash Disbursement Cost control of our regional offices
● Responsible for cash funding of our regional offices
● Control and Approve supplier payments
● Check variances vs. budget and prior year
Various ad-hoc reporting as they arise

The Competencies

● A University degree in Business, Accounting (CGA, CMA or equivalent)
● Minimum 3-5 years of experience, with 1-2 years in consolidation
● Strong technical skills in accounting, consolidation and financial analysis
● Good knowledge of IFRS LUX GAAP
● Proactive individual who is motivated, highly energetic, driven by continuous improvement and meets objectives in a timely manner
● Ability to summarize and present conclusions on analytical results in a concise and conceptual manner
● Good knowledge of computerized financial systems
● Good communication and interpersonal skills
● Fluent in English French, additional language skills considered an asset
