Financial Analyst- FSS Costs recruitment
Maintaining the integrity of UBS’s financials is paramount to our roles and we ensure compliance with applicable internal and external regulatory requirements. We partner with our regional and global clients to provide efficient and reliable reporting of historical expenses and forecast the future direction of their cost basis.
UBS is recruiting a Director level staff. This is a deputy position reporting into the Regional Head of FSS Costs team. The role require direct involvement of all aspects of the monthly closing process ensuring the integrity of the banks expense base in conformance with accounting policy and company timelines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Production of monthly financial reporting for both Finance Global Reporting and FSS Management covering America regions
- Monthly review of direct expense, allocated costs covering the entire America region
- Monthly review and signoff FSS Costs balance sheet
- Lead, participate and oversee process improvement activities within the group creating efficiencies while minimizing risk
- Lead, participate and oversee projects, working closely with various business areas
- Maintaining financial integrity of the general ledger by managing the balance sheet and PL and ensuring processes are SOX compliant.
While the role will be primarily focused on financial management, the scope is considerably wider, and the successful candidate will need to be skilled in a range of areas. Specifically, the candidate must have strong analytical skills, a solid accounting background, exceptional communication skills (both written and oral), commercial expertise, and proven client relationship management skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4 year Bachelors Degree or International Equivalent Graduate
- Minimum 6 years of experience in financial controlling and analysis roles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in creating financial models with strong Excel skills and an aptitude to work with complex scenarios and financial structures.
- A key team player, with good communication skills and a strong work ethic. Able to inspire and lead a team.
- An innovative approach and drive to address possible areas of improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
